The retention mechanism draws from the GLS (Grip Locking System): a button on the side of the holster body, pressed with the thumb during the draw, releases the lock on the grip and allows a fast, single-motion draw. Compared to an open-top holster relying solely on passive friction retention, this system holds the pistol securely under intense physical exertion or in a fall, without requiring a trigger-guard snap that could interfere with non-standard guard profiles.
