The Original 4X is the work and shooting glove from MECHANIX designed for anyone who needs protection and dexterity in something they can wear all day: the close fit keeps full sensitivity on the trigger and weapon controls without sacrificing back-of-hand protection.
The most practical advantage of this model is machine washability: a shooting or duty glove tends to accumulate gunpowder residue, lubricant and field grime. Being able to put it in the washing machine extends the life of the material and keeps a clean grip on the stock and controls without any manual upkeep.
The 4X designation refers to the construction with four reinforced seams in the areas subject to the most wear: a full-finger or short-finger glove used hard in training, hunting or operational duty fails first at the stress points rather than across the palm. Targeted reinforcement extends actual service life without adding unwanted bulk.
