The Wosport Dummy XPE insert is a pair of high-density expanded foam protective panels designed to fill the plate pockets of tactical vests when no actual ballistic plate is fitted. Each panel matches the standard SAPI/ESAPI plate dimensions, restoring the vest's structured shape, simulated weight and load distribution that trainers and instructors need during dry training sessions.

XPE material (cross-linked expanded polyethylene) is dense enough to keep the panel rigid under harness pressure, without deforming from body heat or absorbing moisture. The result is an insert that keeps the vest geometry identical to its operational configuration, allowing training in magazine extraction, MOLLE pocket management and donning procedures without altering the carry profile. The low weight of each panel reduces fatigue during extended training sessions, unlike steel or ceramic plates sometimes used as substitutes.

One limitation must be clearly stated: this insert has no ballistic capability whatsoever.
