Rothco Tactical Hooded Softshell Jacket

The Rothco Tactical Hooded Jacket is a three-layer softshell jacket designed for those who work outdoors in changing weather conditions: shooters, hunters and professionals who need freedom of movement without sacrificing protection from the elements. The fabric combines a water-resistant outer layer, a windproof mid-layer and an inner fleece lining, managing both cold temperatures and the moisture generated by physical activity.

Layering performance is the most relevant factor for operational use. The inner fleece retains body heat during halts and waiting periods, while the 10x10 cm Velcro panels on both sleeves allow identification patches or IR indicators to be attached. Underarm ventilation zips let you regulate heat dispersal during high-intensity movement, preventing moisture build-up that would compromise comfort during subsequent stops. The fabric is water-resistant: it handles light rain and ambient moisture effectively, but is not a solution for immersion or prolonged heavy precipitation.

The pocket layout is designed for field use. Two chest external zip pockets provide quick access to frequently used accessories; each contains smaller internal pockets and loops for small items. Two shoulder zip pockets and a zip pocket on the left wrist add storage points accessible even when carrying a weapon. The rear pocket, opening from either side, can accommodate a rolled extra layer. Two internal pockets complete the system. The adjustable collar with a concealed zip and storm flap protects the neck without interfering with the ear or a headset; reinforced cable routing ports on the shoulders and chest allow headset cables to be routed through without exposing wear points.
