SATAC Tactical QR Plate Carrier — Multicam

The SATAC Tactical QR Plate Carrier is a quick-release plate carrier designed for operators and shooters who cannot compromise on ballistic protection but need to shed their kit in seconds when it counts. It accepts plates in SAPI Medium format and weighs 1,480 g empty — a lean figure for a complete system that includes cummerbund and side pockets.

The shell is made from CORUND™ 500D, a high-density fabric that balances abrasion resistance with low weight: tougher than standard nylon at the same thickness, it keeps the plate pockets in shape even under sustained load. The MOLLE field is laser-cut rather than stitched, which eliminates redundant webbing loops, reduces bulk, and gives the structure a stiffer, quieter profile during movement.

The quick-release system uses 4 QD buckles — two at the shoulders and two at the sides — allowing the carrier to be fully removed in a single motion. This is a deliberate trade-off: QD buckles deliver the release speed that a conventional clip closure cannot match, but they do require a more careful initial adjustment to ensure the fit is dialled in before the system works under pressure. The elastic cummerbund is adjustable in both height and width and integrates the side plate pockets, maintaining modularity without adding separate panels.
