The Recon Bundle is a modular kit built around the VX Buckle Up Utility Rig chest rig, designed for those who want a lightweight but complete setup without having to source each component separately. The system combines magazine pouches, an expandable pack and a utility pouch into a single configurable solution, adaptable to different magazine types and intended use.

The VX Buckle Up Utility Rig chest rig is the core of the system: the internal pouches accept up to 6 M4-type magazines or up to 8 MP5-type or similar magazines, depending on the sleeve inserted. The choice between the Triple Mag Sleeve (556) and the Quad Mag Sleeve (9 mm) is one of the options selected at purchase. The external MOLLE surface allows you to add accessory pouches compatible with the VX system — internal holster, single or multiple magazine pouches, admin pouch — adapting the rig to your personal kit without altering the base structure.

Below the chest rig you can add either the Dangler or the Scrote: the Dangler is an open-top pouch designed to collect spent magazines during a firefight — quick to use precisely because it has no retention closure, though less secure during heavy movement compared to a closed solution. The Scrote is a compact multi-purpose pouch, suited for accessories you want to keep separate and accessible. The two are mutually exclusive, and the choice should be made based on how you manage magazine changes. Completing the bundle is the Charger Pack, a low-profile pack with an expandable main compartment and an internal pocket pre-fitted for a hydration bladder.
