Helikon-Tex RAIDER Backpack Cordura — Olive Green

The RAIDER Backpack is a tactical Cordura pack with a 20-litre capacity, designed for those who need fast access to their essentials without giving up the ability to expand the external load. Its compact footprint suits everyday EDC use, single-day outdoor trips and operational carry, all at an unloaded weight comparable to a full 500 ml water bottle.

Access logic is where Helikon-Tex focused the design effort. The top organisational pocket opens independently of the main compartment — in practice, you retrieve a document, a charger or a tool without disturbing the rest of the load. The front Beaver tail panel deserves a separate note: in its extended position it secures a cycling, climbing or tactical helmet with no extra hardware; when the pack is used for EDC, it rolls up and fastens in under ten seconds, leaving the front clean with no protruding bulk. The elastic-and-velcro closure system, however, does not offer the same retention as a quick-release buckle strap under sustained load — a deliberate trade-off between daily convenience and firm retention.

Inside the main compartment there is a velcro panel compatible with Helikon-Tex's Versatile insert system, plus elastic and YKK-zip pockets for separating fragile or frequently used items. On the outside, YKK zips deliver reliable cycles of use even in cold conditions or with gloves on. The hip belt stows in the back panel when not needed, and the anatomical shoulder straps with a rigid rear panel distribute the load comfortably over longer carries. The perimeter MOLLE/PALS attachment system allows external pouches, a dump pouch or other accessories to be added without modification. The integrated rain cover rounds out the pack for outdoor use without requiring separate purchases.
