Combat Shirt Helikon-Tex MCDU NyCo Ripstop US Woodland

The Helikon-Tex MCDU is a long-sleeve combat shirt designed for operators and shooters who wear ballistic vests, plate carriers or chest rigs during extended sessions. The torso is made from TopCool 100% polyester, which manages moisture in the areas covered by the load-bearing system, while the sleeves and mandarin collar are built from NyCo Ripstop 50% cotton / 50% nylon, a more durable and abrasion-resistant fabric for exposed surfaces.

The choice of two different materials addresses a specific trade-off: TopCool on the torso is lightweight and breathable but would not hold up well against constant friction from vest straps and panels; NyCo on the sleeves provides the mechanical durability needed during ground movements or work in dense vegetation, at the cost of slightly reduced breathability. The mandarin collar, also in NyCo, protects the neck from friction against the upper edge of ballistic vests without requiring a separate collar pad.

The two zippered bicep pockets keep folded documents, a map or a compact navigation device within reach, without taking up space in trouser pockets or the vest's admin pockets. Loop panels on the shoulders allow identification or national patches to be attached quickly — a practical feature in both real operational contexts and tactical training or simulation.
