Weighing 931 g and made from a 330 g/m² fabric, they sit in the medium-to-heavy range of technical trousers: sturdy enough for intensive daily use, light enough to remain comfortable over long consecutive hours.

The material is a blend of 76% cotton, 22% polyester and 2% elastane. The dominant cotton delivers the look and softness of classic denim; the polyester adds abrasion resistance and reduces deformation over time; the elastane provides the flexibility needed to crouch, mount vehicles or hold prolonged shooting positions without the fabric restricting movement. These are not water-repellent trousers: anyone operating in sustained rain will need to add a dedicated outer layer.

The elasticated waistband with velcro adjustment and the 50 mm wide belt loops allow a duty belt to be worn without additional adapters. The front pocket edges are reinforced to withstand the continuous friction of a knife or torch clip — a detail that on standard versions typically leads to fraying after just a few months of daily use. The internal knee pockets accept Helikon-Tex Low Profile Protective Pads: the protection is available but not mandatory, and without the pads the pockets create no visible bulk. The overall pocket layout — two front, two side, two rear and the internal knee pockets — allows light kit to be organised without resorting to additional external pouches.
