Chest rig Helikon-Tex Guardian Recce Cordura — Multicam

The Guardian Recce is a modular chest rig by Helikon-Tex designed for reconnaissance operations and extended tactical use in the field. Built from 100% Cordura nylon at 235 g/m², it measures 55x23x8 cm and weighs 823 g empty — a restrained weight that leaves room to load the pouches without placing excessive strain on the torso.

The front pouch configuration includes four magazine slots for AK or AR-15 magazines, secured with rigid buckles. A buckle closure is slower than an open-top elastic retention system, but it holds the magazine securely during sudden movements, falls or movement on steep terrain: a deliberate choice that prioritises retention over draw speed. On either side of the central admin pouch are two universal pouches with buckle closure, compatible with Competition-series inserts for pistol magazines, or usable for training grenades.

The lateral MOLLE surface allows the system to be expanded by attaching PALS-compatible pouches at any position. Inside the main body there is a zip pocket sized for maps, notebooks or operational documents, alongside two flat internal back pockets dimensioned for compact radios. The front admin pouch is lined with a soft loop panel and accepts Helikon-Tex VIS inserts, allowing the interior to be organised to personal preference without modifying the external structure of the rig.
