It is worth noting that this is water-resistant behaviour, not waterproof: the jacket handles light rain and condensation, but is not designed for prolonged exposure to heavy precipitation. In a layering system, it sits as an intermediate shell over a thermal base layer.

The dual-slider front zip allows the jacket to be opened from the bottom for greater freedom of movement when crouching or going prone — useful when working with a belt or chest rig underneath. Velcro-adjustable cuffs and an elasticated hem drawcord let you seal the jacket around your body to reduce cold spots, without complex adjustments even when wearing gloves.
