The main advantage of a combined unit like this is operational: rather than managing a torch and a laser pointer as separate units with separate mounts, everything comes together at a single point of control. The five operating modes — momentary white light, constant white light, constant laser, white light plus laser, constant IR illuminator — cover the most common use cases without needing to swap units. Double-press locking reduces finger fatigue during extended sessions, while momentary-press mode gives immediate control on exit.
