FMA

Vertical front grip by FMA, based on the Daniel Defence design, built to mount directly on M-LOK handguards. At 83 x 40 mm, it fits AR platforms and similar systems without adding lateral bulk, and remains usable with tactical gloves.

The polymer body with rubberised side panels strikes a balance between two goals that often pull in opposite directions: keeping weight down while maintaining a secure hold in wet conditions or with gloves. The hollow profile reduces mass compared to solid grips, making it a practical choice for lightweight builds where weapon control during rapid fire or dynamic movement still matters.

M-LOK attachment means the grip mounts directly to the handguard with zero play — no added Picatinny slot, no riser in between. This keeps the overall platform profile low and removes potential failure points. The non-conductive material is operationally relevant when the weapon is used in environments with electrical hazards. Worth noting: the straight vertical shape suits a pulling grip on the handguard, but shooters who prefer a forward angle or a single-finger hold may want to look at angled or alternative keymod profiles instead.

Key points

  • M-LOK interface allows direct handguard attachment without adapters, keeping the weapon profile compact.
  • Rubber side panels improve grip in wet conditions or with gloves, without adding overall thickness.
  • Hollow construction reduces weight compared to solid grips, favouring lightweight setups.
  • Non-conductive polymer provides passive safety in environments with electrical contact risk.
  • Dimensions of 83 x 40 mm offer an adequate gripping surface without affecting weapon balance.
