Helikon-Tex

The Double Elastic Insert is an open-top double insert compatible with the Helikon-Tex Versatile Insert System, designed to carry two full-size pistol magazines inside bags from the Range, Urban or Bushcraft series. Retention relies entirely on elastic, with no additional retention devices.

Choosing elastic-only retention without a positive lock is a deliberate trade-off: the draw is immediate and silent, and magazine re-insertion is one-handed with no mechanism to actuate. The downside is that a hard impact or an extreme body position may dislodge the magazine more easily than a positive-lock system would. For anyone working on their feet on a dynamic shooting line or managing a range bag, this balance between speed and retention is exactly what the design aims for.

The insert fits and removes from any velcro panel compatible with the Versatile Insert System: pull the extraction loop stitched to one corner and it comes free in seconds, no tools required. This makes it straightforward to reconfigure a range bag or tactical organiser depending on the day's activity. The polyester construction keeps the magazine slots in shape even when empty.
