CARINTHIA G-Loft Booties Thermal Slipper Boots

The G-Loft Booties are thermal bivouac slipper boots designed for those who suffer from cold feet inside a sleeping bag or during rest stops in a shelter. With a G-LOFT® Si insulation at 250 g/m² in 100% polyester, they concentrate a significant amount of warmth in a minimal package: size M weighs 300 grams and compresses down to almost nothing in a pack.

The Gore Windstopper® outer shell blocks wind without relying on heavy waterproof membranes: the boot breathes better than a waterproof solution, but should be kept away from direct snow and rain. This is a deliberate trade-off in favour of thermal comfort during rest stops, not a replacement for a field boot. The smooth polyamide inner lining slips on quickly over socks with no friction.

Available in two sizes — M (36–40) and L (40–46) — they cover the vast majority of foot sizes without the complexity of a full size run. Anyone sitting exactly between the two sizes will need to decide whether they prefer a snugger fit or a little extra room for thermal socks.
