ARDON V7000 Ballistic Eyewear — Yellow Lenses

The ARDON V7000 is a single-lens protective eyewear in yellow polycarbonate, designed for those who work or shoot in low-light or artificial-light conditions where chromatic filtering improves contrast. The single-piece lens delivers a wide, uninterrupted field of view with no frame bridges to break peripheral vision.

The marking on the lens reads 2-1,2 1 FT O. The optical class 1 represents the highest optical quality defined by EN 166, making these glasses suitable for extended wear without eye fatigue: this is not a decorative detail, but the criterion that sets a PPE-grade eyewear fit for hours of use apart from something intended for occasional use. The FT marking certifies mechanical resistance to low-energy particles up to 45 m/s, maintained at extreme temperatures between -5 °C and +55 °C: a meaningful margin for anyone operating outdoors in demanding seasons. The type 2 UV filter protects against ultraviolet radiation during daytime outdoor use.

The anti-fog treatment slows condensation build-up during rapid temperature changes or intense physical exertion. The scratch-resistant coating protects the lens surface from abrasion during transport and daily use. Both treatments work on separate surfaces and neither compensates for the absence of the other: the key trade-off to understand is that the anti-fog treatment reduces but does not eliminate fogging in extreme conditions, whilst the scratch-resistant coating does not make the lens indestructible. The dark blue nylon temples end in soft, knurled tip guards that improve grip and reduce slipping; the transparent knurled nose bridge helps maintain position on the face during movement. Temple length and angle are not adjustable.
