The Tasmanian Tiger TAC Pouch 4 Horizontal is a horizontally mounted utility pouch for MOLLE/PALS systems, made from CORDURA® 500D. Measuring 10x15x4 cm and weighing 95 g, it is designed for anyone who needs frequently used kit within easy reach — from a minimal first-aid set to a torch or consumables — without occupying vertical space on a plate carrier or chest rig.

The horizontal mounting is what sets this pouch apart from the vertical version in the same range: positioned on the lower section of a plate carrier or on the front panel of a chest rig, it allows access to the contents with the wrist in a natural position, without rotating the arm. This advantage comes at the cost of greater horizontal space on the MOLLE rails, which should be taken into account when that space is already taken up by magazine pouches or radio pouches.

CORDURA® 500D offers a good balance between abrasion resistance and low weight: it is stiffer than lightweight hiking fabrics, which helps the pouch hold its shape even when not fully loaded, yet remains more compressible than thicker nylon shells.
