Mechanix M-Pact Covert Gloves

The Mechanix M-Pact Covert is a full-finger tactical glove designed for hands-on work under high mechanical stress: shooting, operational use, hunting. Protection is distributed across the knuckles, finger joints and palm without sacrificing trigger sensitivity.

The Thermal Plastic Rubber (TPR) protectors on the knuckles and fingers are ultrasonically welded directly into the fabric, eliminating the stitching that breaks down through friction and keeping a low profile even after extended use. The Impact Guard™ deliberately leaves the first knuckle of the index finger exposed: shooters who keep their finger along the frame until the moment of firing get more natural access to the trigger guard, with no protective bulge interfering with entry into the trigger guard arch. This is a deliberate design choice that prioritises operational speed over full index-finger coverage — a conscious trade-off, not an oversight.

The palm combines Armortex® reinforcement with XRD® high-absorption padding: XRD stiffens under sudden impact and returns to flexibility under constant pressure, reducing vibration transfer during extended shooting or power-tool use. The double internal construction on the thumb and index fingertips adds abrasion resistance exactly where contact with rough surfaces and the loading cycle wear the glove first. The TrekDry® fabric on the back of the hand is perforated to dissipate heat: it aids breathability during intense activity but provides no thermal protection in cold conditions.
