Helikon-Tex MBDU NyCo Ripstop MultiCam Trousers

The Helikon-Tex MBDU trousers are the foundation of the Modern Battle Dress Uniform, a field line designed for those operating in demanding conditions. Made from NyCo Ripstop fabric — a cross-weave nylon-cotton blend — they offer abrasion and tear resistance while keeping weight low, with a shaped cut that does not restrict freedom of movement. The belt loops accommodate belts up to 45 mm wide, compatible with holsters and magazine pouches.

The pocket layout addresses real operational needs. The thigh cargo pockets, closed with Canadian-style press studs, offer enough volume for carbine magazines or other bulky items, with quick access even with gloves on. The reinforced-edge rear pockets also accommodate bulky items such as magazines. On the lower legs there are more compact pockets closed with velcro, intended for essentials such as a field dressing or tourniquet: velcro closure allows fast access but requires care in situations where noise discipline matters. Reinforced side panels on the hip pockets protect the fabric from wear caused by knife clips.

The anatomically shaped knees are reinforced and ready for the insertion of hard pads, a solution that extends the life of the trousers and protects the joint during prolonged kneeling shooting positions. The VersaStretch panel at the rear and crotch reduces resistance during climbing, crouching and rapid movement without loosening the overall fit. The velcro-closure waistband and drawstring-adjustable leg bottoms allow the trousers to be adapted to boots of different heights or to tactical gaiters.
