The proprietary G-Loft ISO plus insulation — spun and manufactured by Carinthia — uses a fill density of 80 g/m² on the body and 60 g/m² on the sleeves, calibrated to balance warmth with freedom of movement: lighter sleeves reduce bulk when carrying a rifle on the shoulder or working with arms raised, without compromising the torso where heat loss is greatest. Moisture behaviour is the main advantage over down: synthetic fibre retains its insulating properties even as body moisture builds up during activity, which is a common condition when dressing in layers.

The Shelltex outer fabric has a water-repellent treatment and blocks wind effectively while maintaining reasonable breathability: it is water-repellent, not waterproof, and should be understood as a shield against light rain and ambient moisture rather than protection from prolonged precipitation. For those conditions, the G-Loft LIG 3.0 is designed to work under a waterproof shell.
