Helikon-Tex Blizzard Jacket StormStretch

The Blizzard Jacket is a softshell jacket in Helikon-Tex StormStretch® fabric, designed for those who work outdoors in variable conditions and need a lightweight, stretchy, breathable garment without sacrificing weather protection. The elongated military cut covers the hips and maintains coverage during dynamic movement, while fit can be adjusted at key points: hem, cuffs and hood.

StormStretch® is a stretch nylon with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish: it sheds splashes and light rain by slowing water absorption, but it is not a substitute for a waterproof membrane. The trade-off is intentional — you gain breathability and freedom of movement that a fully sealed waterproof shell cannot offer. In heavy rain, pairing it with a waterproof outer layer is recommended.

The packaway hood stows into the collar and deploys in seconds; it includes a stiffened peak. The two underarm zip vents with internal mesh let you release heat quickly during climbs or high-output phases without removing the jacket. The two loop panels on the sleeves — each 9x11 cm — allow the attachment of identification or role patches, useful in operational or training contexts. Velcro cuffs and an elasticated hem keep drafts out without restricting movement.
