The Softie Elite 3 is a three-season sleeping bag designed for backpacking and tactical bivouacs: weighing 1,600 g and packing down to 26x22 cm in the included compression sack, it covers nights down to −5 °C in comfort and holds up to −10 °C in emergency conditions.

The Softie polyester insulation retains heat even when wet — a common situation on extended outings or bivouacs in high-humidity environments. The Paratex Micro outer shell and Paratex Light inner lining with Reflectatherm layer work together to limit heat loss to the outside while reflecting body heat back inward. The elasticated drawcord hood further reduces heat loss around the head, where thermal dissipation is substantial.

The two-way YKK side zip with an insulated draught baffle allows the bag to be opened from the foot end to ventilate the feet without exposing the torso — a practical trade-off compared to full-length zip bags, which force a choice between warmth and ventilation. The reinforced footbox lets you rest boots against it, and the foot loops make field drying easier without having to lay out the entire bag. A clip system shortens the bag's length, useful for shorter users who want to reduce the cold air pocket at the feet. Internal loops allow a liner to be attached, extending the seasonal range without replacing the bag.
