Thermarest Z-Lite Sleeping Pad OAK/ANTHRACITE

The Thermarest Z-Lite is a self-supporting accordion-fold closed-cell foam sleeping pad designed for lightweight outings where every gram matters. Weighing 410 g and measuring 51x183x2 cm when flat, it covers an adult from shoulder to knee without adding significant bulk to the load.

The rigid panel construction lets you open and close it in a few seconds without rolling it up, which means quick access to insulation during short stops. The trade-off is that the accordion shape takes up more space outside the pack than a rollable pad, and it needs to be secured externally with two straps. Anyone already carrying a bulky load should factor this into their carry setup.

The R 2.2 thermal rating indicates adequate insulation for mild temperatures or as an underlayer beneath an inflatable pad in colder conditions. For bivouacs on cold ground at altitude, this R-value is sufficient on its own in summer and works alongside a second layer during shoulder seasons. Packed dimensions are 52x13x14 cm.
