Balaclava Kicking Mustang Balaclava Oakland — Oakland

The Kicking Mustang Balaclava Oakland is a three-dimensional camouflage balaclava designed for snipers, scouts and operators who need to break up the silhouette of the head and neck in natural terrain. Coverage extends down to the chest, closing the strip of exposed skin that so often gives away a position even when the rest of the kit is well concealed.

Randomly distributed three-dimensional leaves across the surface break up the contours of the face and head, reducing the shadows that form around the cheekbones, chin and forehead — the areas the human eye most readily identifies as a human shape. The upper section of the balaclava replicates the texture of branches and stumps, blending into surrounding vegetation without creating visual discontinuities. The result is passive integration into the terrain that requires no constant adjustment during observation.

Elastic loops distributed across the structure allow natural vegetation gathered on site or artificial elements such as synthetic leaves from compatible leaf systems to be added, adapting the camouflage to the specific environment of each session. Two lateral adjustment straps allow the fit to be tailored to individual face shapes without creating creases that disturb the leaf arrangement. The trade-off to bear in mind is this: the extended chest coverage provides maximum camouflage continuity with the rest of the kit, but in intense heat it increases the thermal sensation around the neck. For the eye area, the manufacturer recommends supplementing protection with face paint or goggles with camouflage customisation, as the aperture zone remains visually exposed.

Key features

• Randomly arranged 3D leaves break up the contours of the face and neck, making the human silhouette harder to detect.
• Coverage extending to the chest closes the gap between the balaclava and jacket collar, eliminating one of the most frequently exposed areas.
• Elastic loops allow natural or artificial vegetation to be inserted, so the camouflage adapts to the environment without replacing the balaclava.
• The two adjustment straps ensure a stable fit during movement without altering the position of the attached leaves.
• The lightweight, breathable construction allows extended use without compromising comfort during static observation sessions.
