What to look for

Lumens tell you how much light is produced; range in metres tells you how far it reaches: a focused beam carries farther, a flood beam illuminates better at close range. Runtime depends on the output level selected.

Rechargeable 18650 and 21700 cells offer the longest runtime; CR123A batteries are lightweight and have a long shelf life. Weapon-mounted torches are listed under weapon lights.
