Torches and portable lighting

Fenix manufactures torches, headlamps and weapon lights, with rechargeable batteries and dedicated accessories.

Three specifications guide the choice. Luminous flux in lumens indicates the quantity of light produced; beam distance in metres indicates how far the light reaches. These are independent values: a high lumen output with a short beam distance means diffuse, close-range illumination, useful indoors but not for lighting up distant targets.

The third specification is runtime at the various output levels: almost all torches quote the maximum, which often lasts only a few minutes before thermal reduction kicks in. The mid-level output is the one actually used in practice.
