Balaclava CYGNUS ARMORY Face Warrior Defender — Black

The Face Warrior Defender is a balaclava/neck gaiter for airsoft made from 100% polyester with a carbon fibre reinforcement and an SS304 stainless steel mesh, designed to cover the lower face — mouth, chin and throat — during games. Thanks to its hybrid fabric-and-metal construction, it combines breathability with mechanical protection from BBs in the area of the face not covered by a mask or goggles.

The SS304 stainless steel retains its mesh geometry even after repeated impacts: unlike mesh panels made from plastic materials, which can deform and close in towards the mouth, the metal maintains the safety gap between the mesh and the face. The carbon fibre reinforcement stiffens the structure without adding any perceptible weight, reducing fatigue during extended sessions.

The polyester layer covering the structure absorbs sweat and reduces skin abrasion, but it is neither a ballistic protection system nor approved equipment for use with real firearms: the Face Warrior Defender is explicitly designed for airsoft and must be used exclusively in that context. Anyone seeking full facial coverage must pair it with dedicated goggles or a full-face mask, as this accessory protects only the lower half of the face.
