1000D Oxford fabric offers higher abrasion resistance than lower-weight nylons while keeping weight down compared to rigid polymer holsters. The soft construction accommodates pistol frames with different geometries without requiring model-specific inserts — a practical advantage for anyone who rotates between different pistols or cannot find a dedicated holster for their model. The trade-off is inherent in the universal design: retention relies on the shape of the pouch and the optional closing velcro rather than a moulded retention system shaped around the pistol, making it more versatile but less precise on the draw compared to a dedicated thermoformed holster.
