The Wosport Mini Steel Mesh is a steel mesh half mask designed for smaller faces: younger players, women, and adults with narrower facial structures will find this a practical alternative to the standard size, with a width of 20 cm and a height of 13 cm — roughly 1 cm shorter and 5 cm narrower than the full-size model. Coverage is limited to the nose and mouth area, leaving the cheekbones clear for a natural cheek weld when aiming.

The steel mesh shields the teeth from direct impacts, which are the second most common source of injury — after the eyes — in activities involving low-energy kinetic projectiles. The ANSI Z80.3 certification confirms penetration resistance up to 3 J at 5 m, equivalent to approximately 170 m/s with 0.20 g BBs. The open mesh construction also allows freer breathing than a full polymer mask, reducing condensation and heat build-up during intense activity.

The padded cheek guards with 1000D nylon outer shell serve two purposes: they absorb direct lateral impacts to the cheekbone and protect the fabric from abrasion wear. The trade-off is the one inherent to any open steel mesh half mask: protection is limited to the mouth and nose area and does not cover the forehead, exposed cheeks, or neck. For full face protection it must be paired with certified ballistic eyewear or a full eye-protection mask. Adjustable elastic straps allow use on their own or combined with a cap or hat; compatible helmet adapters are sold separately and are not included.
