The Woodsman Anorak is an anorak-cut jacket designed for extended outdoor use in variable conditions: hunting, technical hiking, camping and outdoor activities where contact with dense vegetation, sparks and wind is the norm, not the exception. The hybrid construction divides the fabric by function across each zone of the garment.
The front panel is made of DuraCanvas, a robust fabric resistant to abrasion, snagging on branches and campfire sparks. The rear panel is StormStretch, which moves with the body and manages moisture better during high-output efforts. The entire jacket is built to block wind, but without claiming waterproofing: the DWR treatment handles light rain and dew, while sustained precipitation calls for a dedicated shell worn over or under. Those working in wet environments who move frequently will find the strength of this garment in its balance between protection and breathability.
The anorak cut — with no central front zip — reduces thermal bridging and unintended opening points, improving insulation and keeping a compact silhouette under a pack. The YKK side zips that open up to the armpits serve a dual purpose: they allow the jacket to be put on and taken off without pulling it over the head, and when partially open they act as vents during high-intensity movement. The chest kangaroo pocket houses an internal organiser, useful for keeping a map, phone or small tools separate without opening the pack.
