The Vector Optics Universal 45° offset mount is a metal Picatinny rail mount designed to position a second aiming solution — red dot or micro sight — at 45 degrees from the primary optical axis, allowing the shooter to transition instantly from the primary optic to a close-range sight with a simple rotation of the rifle.

The 45° geometry is the preferred solution in dynamic and operational shooting because it requires no change in grip: rotating the rifle a quarter turn brings the red dot straight into the sight line, eliminating the transition time associated with any switching system or inline dual mount. Compatibility with the standard Picatinny rail ensures fitment on any AR platform, pump-action shotgun or carbine equipped with a RIS rail, with no additional adapters required.

The metal construction provides the recoil resistance needed to keep the mount stable over time even on centrefire calibres, avoiding the zero shift typical of polymer mounts that deform under cyclic stress.
