Vector Optics

The Paragon 4x24 Mini is a fixed-magnification prismatic scope with 4x power and a 24 mm objective, measuring just 81 mm overall. It is designed for shooters mounting an optic on carbines, semi-automatic rifles or tactical platforms who want to recover rail space without dropping to a purely close-range magnification. The RUM HC mount is included in the box: no separate rings required.

Prism technology involves a deliberate trade-off: unlike a zoom scope, there are no moving optical elements that recoil can knock out of alignment over time. The reticle is etched directly onto the prism and stays in focus regardless of eye position at the eyepiece, with no point-of-impact shift even after extended firing sessions with hard-recoiling calibres. The compromise is the one inherent to any fixed-power optic: 4x is the right magnification for targets from a few dozen metres out to medium distances, but anyone who needs to switch between 1x and higher magnification within the same shooting session should consider an LPVO instead. Those who work at a defined operational distance — and want maximum mechanical robustness — will find a prism scope a more solid answer than any comparable zoom.

Elevation and windage adjustments work in 1 MOA increments per click: fine enough for the operational distances of a 4x optic, allowing fast, repeatable corrections without any mental arithmetic. The anodised aerospace-aluminium body holds zero under heavy recoil. The integrated RUM HC mount keeps the optic lower on the weapon than a traditional ring solution, simplifies installation and eliminates one potential source of misalignment between the scope body and its support.

Key features

  • Overall length of 81 mm: frees up rail space and does not affect weapon balance, even on compact platforms.
  • Reticle etched onto the prism: stays in focus under any conditions and does not shift under repeated recoil, unlike reticles in zoom scopes with moving elements.
  • Fixed 4x magnification with 24 mm objective: covers medium operational distances with a stable image and no internal parts that can fall out of alignment.
  • 1 MOA per click adjustment: precise, repeatable corrections at the distances typical of a fixed-power optic.
  • RUM HC mount included: direct Picatinny rail mounting, low profile, no additional rings to buy or align.

Paragon

The observation and prism optics family: binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, fixed-reticle optics.

Paragon is the most versatile line in the catalogue: it brings together HD binoculars, ultra-compact spotting scopes, rangefinders and prismatic optics.

The common thread is the optical assembly: low-dispersion objective lenses that control chromatic aberration — the coloured fringing at the edges of backlit subjects that, at high magnification, degrades detail precisely when it matters most.

The Paragon prismatic optics deserve a separate mention. The reticle is etched directly onto the glass and focused by the optical system, so it remains sharp even for users with astigmatism — a condition that on traditional red dots causes the dot to appear blurred or star-shaped — and stays readable even with the illumination switched off.
