Vector Optics

The Vector Optics SCACD-20 is an aluminium offset rail adapter that adds a lateral mounting position to any Weaver or Picatinny rail rated at 21 mm. Overall length is 51 mm and weight is 11 g. It is designed for shooters who need to mount a laser, torch or secondary optic without giving up space on the main rail.

The bubble level integrated into the side is what sets this adapter apart from a plain offset rail. A canted optic introduces windage errors that increase with distance: at 100 m, even a few degrees of tilt can shift the point of impact by a meaningful amount, and no amount of click windage correction fixes a structural mounting error. Having the level directly on the weapon lets you verify alignment in the field without carrying extra tools.

The body is machined from 6063-T6 aluminium, an alloy that strikes a practical balance between rigidity and low weight. The manufacturer's declared machining tolerances ensure a play-free fit on the Picatinny rail — the minimum requirement for a stable zero under repeated recoil. It should be noted that this is a fixed-position offset rail: it does not allow rotation or angular adjustment of the accessory, so the lateral angle is fixed. Anyone who needs fine angle adjustment should look at other solutions; anyone who can work with a fixed position gets a stiffer, lighter system in return.
