Vector Optics

The Continental X8 is an LPVO riflescope with a second focal plane (SFP) reticle, 1-8x magnification and a 24 mm objective lens, designed for tactical shooters, instructors and operators who need a single optic capable of handling close-quarters engagements at 1x and medium-range shots at full power. ED (extra-low dispersion) glass reduces chromatic aberration and keeps images high-contrast across the entire zoom range. The X-ACCU Mount for Picatinny rails is included in the box.

The VET-BTR reticle with 11 illumination levels lets you adjust brightness quickly to match ambient conditions, from direct sunlight to low-light dusk, without losing your reference on the target. The 1/10 MIL click value delivers precise and repeatable adjustments: each click corresponds to a fine increment that pays off most during zeroing sessions at distance, where every hundredth of a milliradian matters. The 6061-T6 aluminium alloy body balances low weight with the recoil resistance needed on medium- and high-power platforms.

The 30 mm tube provides generous mechanical travel: 138 MOA per axis covers the windage and elevation corrections required across multiple distances without running out of adjustment range. The 95 mm eye relief keeps the ocular at a safe distance from the brow even on calibres with noticeable recoil, reducing the risk of accidental contact in non-ideal shooting positions. The overall length of 284 mm keeps the compact profile typical of LPVOs, compatible with most AR platforms and bolt-action rifles.

Continental is the series with which Vector Optics competes in the high-end segment. The key difference from the rest of the catalogue lies in the optical assembly: Schott HT German glass with fully multi-coated VePRO treatment, resulting in a readable image during the first and last half-hour of light — that is, when shooting actually takes place.

Models with a 34 mm one-piece tube offer a significantly wider elevation and windage travel than a 30 mm tube — an essential margin when compensating for bullet drop at extended ranges. The turrets feature Zero Stop and locking, and first focal plane reticles retain the angular value of their subdivisions at any magnification.

The line covers two distinct applications: the X6 and X10 with wide zoom range for long-range shooting, and the 1-8x and 1-10x LPVOs for dynamic use where a true 1x is required.
