Vector Optics

The Continental X10 is a 1-10x24 second focal plane LPVO designed for shooters who need a versatile optic capable of both-eyes-open engagement at close range and consistent precision out to distance. The 30 mm 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium tube provides structural rigidity without adding bulk: weight comes in at 519 g and overall length is 280 mm.

The optical system pairs ED lenses with VePRO FMC coating and Schott HD glass, achieving a stated light transmission of 93%. The result is accurate colour rendition and sharpness in both bright conditions and the low-light windows at dawn and dusk that matter most to hunters. At 1x, the field of view is 35.88 m at 100 m, wide enough for rapid target acquisition up close; at 10x it narrows to 3.93 m at 100 m, providing the resolution needed for precise shots on game or distant targets. The 95 mm eye relief keeps the ocular lens safely away from the brow even on platforms with significant recoil.

The locking turrets with 1/10 MIL clicks prevent unintended adjustments once zeroed: total travel exceeds 35 MIL per axis, leaving ample room for elevation and windage correction. The centre-dot reticle is illuminated across 11 intensity levels with a dedicated on/off switch, powered by a CR2032 battery; the integrated fibre optic maintains visibility in full sunlight without having to push brightness to the maximum. Waterproofing is rated IP67 and nitrogen purging prevents internal fogging during rapid temperature swings — a common occurrence when hunting at altitude or shooting in humid environments. Shock resistance is rated to 1000 G.

Continental is the series with which Vector Optics competes in the high-end segment. The key difference from the rest of the catalogue lies in the optical assembly: Schott HT German glass with fully multi-coated VePRO treatment, resulting in a readable image during the first and last half-hour of light — that is, when shooting actually takes place.

Models with a 34 mm one-piece tube offer a significantly wider elevation and windage travel than a 30 mm tube — an essential margin when compensating for bullet drop at extended ranges. The turrets feature Zero Stop and locking, and first focal plane reticles retain the angular value of their subdivisions at any magnification.

The line covers two distinct applications: the X6 and X10 with wide zoom range for long-range shooting, and the 1-8x and 1-10x LPVOs for dynamic use where a true 1x is required.
