Vector Optics

The Vector Optics SCRA-60 Short Picatinny riser is a spacer with an integrated rail that raises an optic or red dot 25 mm above the weapon's base rail. It is designed for shooters mounting an optic on an AR carbine or any Picatinny platform who need to gain height without replacing existing mounts.

The 25 mm lift brings the optical axis in line with the shooter's natural line of sight. On platforms with a fixed stock or one adjusted to a low position, without this extra height the shooter is forced to cant the neck down toward the stock, losing the repeatable cheek weld that underpins shot-to-shot consistency. The riser solves this without requiring any modification to the weapon.

The short profile involves a trade-off worth understanding: it reduces the overhang compared to longer versions, limiting the torque generated by recoil and keeping the optic firmly planted on the rail even with hard-recoiling calibres; at the same time it offers less contact surface than an extended riser, so anyone mounting a longer optic should consider how the weight is distributed across the mount. The integrated Picatinny rail on top of the riser accepts any standard mount with no additional adapters required.

Key points

  • The 25 mm lift allows a correct and repeatable cheek weld without modifying the stock or existing mounts.
  • The short profile reduces recoil-induced torque: a sound choice for hard-recoiling calibres or compact-body optics.
  • The integrated Picatinny rail accepts any standard mount without adapters, preserving system modularity.
  • Uniform black finish compatible with tactical platforms and modular systems.
