The jeans-inspired cut and elastic waistband with hook-and-loop closure provide a stable fit without restricting freedom of movement.

The PolyCotton Ripstop fabric combines the comfort of natural fibre with the durability of a cross-reinforced weave: it breathes better than pure synthetics and handles abrasion from rough surfaces and constant friction from inserts better than plain cotton. The blend makes no waterproofing claims, but the tight weave limits moisture retention and dries quickly after sweating or light rain. For street use or mixed environments where a waterproof laminate would be overkill, this is the appropriate choice.

The 50 mm belt loops accept EDC belts, quick-release tactical belts and Cobra systems without adapters. The hook-and-loop-closed front pockets have enough volume for a standard AR or AK magazine, or a large-format smartphone — a detail that separates a tactical short from a sports model. The zippered side pockets sit flat when empty but expand to hold wallets and compact pouches.
