ESP TREX 3 Tactical Torch — Black

The TREX 3 is a compact tactical torch designed for police and law enforcement operators, but suited to any professional or outdoor use requiring reliable illumination in demanding conditions. At 115 mm long, 27 mm in body diameter and 125 g including batteries, it carries without bulk and sits securely in the hand even with gloves on.

The 3 W CREE LED chip delivers around 150 lumens with an estimated useful range of 100 metres: enough to identify a person or obstacle at a safe distance, without the weight and power draw of more powerful solutions. The body is high-moisture-resistance duralumin, while the shatterproof polycarbonate front lens withstands impacts without chipping. One trade-off worth noting: polycarbonate is tougher than mineral glass and will not shatter, but over time it can accumulate micro-scratches that slightly reduce beam clarity — a negligible limitation in tactical use, though it would show up in a bench optical comparison.

The rear switch allows immediate thumb activation from any grip. The knurled rubber ring running along the body prevents the torch from rolling on inclined surfaces, a useful detail when working on smooth surfaces without a free hand. Compatibility with the LHU-04 or LHU-14 swivel mount allows attachment to a uniform or kit without external adapters. Power comes from 3 AAA alkaline batteries, included in the box: a format available anywhere, with the advantage of being able to swap cells in the field without a charger.
