The Tramontane is an ultralight windproof jacket designed for people who spend time outdoors and need reliable protection when the weather turns quickly. Made from 100% WindPack® nylon, it weighs around 120 g and packs into its own chest pocket down to the size of a can — it fits in a cargo pocket or any side compartment of a pack without taking up useful space.

WindPack® nylon blocks wind effectively while still allowing the fabric to breathe, so excess heat is released without creating a sauna effect during active use. The material dries quickly, which matters in wet environments or after an unexpected downpour. The DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment sheds light rain and snow: this jacket is water-resistant, not waterproof, meaning that in sustained heavy rain water will eventually get through. That is a deliberate trade-off: removing a waterproof membrane is what keeps the weight at 120 g and maintains a level of breathability that a waterproof jacket cannot match.
