Chest rig Helikon-Tex Training Mini Rig (TMR) — MultiCam Black

The Training Mini Rig (TMR) is a minimalist chest rig designed for intensive range sessions: instructors, competitive shooters and enthusiasts who spend hours on the range will find a lightweight, symmetrical carry system capable of handling a full operational load without the bulk of a full vest. The layout was developed drawing on the hands-on experience of tactical shooting instructors, prioritising fast access over maximum capacity.

At the core of the TMR is the main pocket with an internal organiser and zip mesh pocket — a setup that lets you visually separate consumables (loose rounds, adapters) from items that need to stay in a fixed position. The four fixed pockets with removable flaps accept pistol magazines, a multitool or a torch; the flaps are adjustable with position indicators, so your chosen configuration can be restored exactly each time. That trade-off is worth considering: flaps provide retention even during movement, but slow extraction slightly compared to an open-top solution. Competitive dynamic shooters may prefer to add aftermarket elastic-retention pouches to the front MOLLE panel.

The universal H-harness is removable and fully adjustable, with a side-adjustable waistband: the TMR fits different body types and can be transferred to another operator in seconds. The MOLLE/PALS surface on both the lower front panel and the side-mounted pocket allows a medical pouch, a visible tourniquet or radio modules to be added without modifying the base structure. Three hook-and-loop panels — on the main pocket, the detachable accessory pocket and the back of the harness — offer further customisation with ID patches or admin panels. YKK zippers ensure repeated opening cycles without degradation over time.
