The Training Mini Rig (TMR) is a minimalist chest rig developed by Helikon-Tex for shooters who spend long hours at the range: instructors, competitive dynamic shooters, and operators who need a lightweight, organised system that is ready to run without the bulk of a full plate carrier. The H-harness geometry is symmetrical by design, so it stays clear of the shoulder line during shooting sequences.

The layout is built around a deliberate compromise: more capacity than a simple bandolier, less bulk than a full tactical vest. The main pocket features an internal organiser and a zipped mesh pocket, useful for separating consumables from items that cannot be dropped. The four fixed side pockets with detachable flaps take pistol magazines, compact torches or a multitool, and the adjustable flaps with position indicators let you dial in retention to match your specific magazine type — and find the exact same setting after every wash or reassembly. The dual AR/AK magazine insert included in the box lets you carry two rifle magazines in the front panel without adding external pouches.

MOLLE/PALS webbing on both the centre panel — for a medical insert or radio pouch — and the lower panel expands your configuration options without changing the overall profile of the rig. The H-harness is universal, removable and adjustable, and the waist belt accommodates different body types. Three Velcro panels — on the main pocket, the detachable accessory pouch, and the back of the harness — provide surfaces for ID patches or additional admin panels. Zippers are YKK, a meaningful choice on a piece of kit subjected to heavy open-and-close cycles.
