The back is fully covered in loop velcro, allowing it to mount on any hook-compatible surface — from the front panel of a chest rig to the sleeve of a combat shirt — tool-free and in seconds. The open-top closure with a 10x5 cm loop velcro retention flap on the front panel gives immediate access to the contents: a real advantage when working with gloves or under stress. The trade-off is inherent to this design: the same speed of access that makes it practical comes at the cost of the retention offered by a snap or zip fastener, so it is not suited to items that could fall out during dynamic movement.
