Wosport Tactical Magnetic Sling Strap — Ranger Green

The Wosport Tactical Magnetic Sling Strap is a quick-attach sling keeper designed to hold your rifle sling securely in place and release it with a single motion. The strap wraps around any cylindrical surface with a circumference up to 203 mm (maximum diameter approx. 66 mm), fitting a buffer tube, folding stock, or rifle forend with equal effectiveness; the recommended minimum size corresponds to a standard buffer tube of approximately 25 mm.

The system is built around two magnets housed inside the strap: they hold the sling loop firmly enough to prevent shifting during carry, yet release instantly under a deliberate pull. Deployment is a single action — grab the sling and pull — with no buttons to press, levers to operate, or velcro to tear open. The strap releases on its own and stays on the rifle via velcro rather than falling to the ground. This means re-attachment is just as fast: simply wrap the strap back around the mount and snap the loop onto the magnets.

The trade-off worth knowing involves retention strength: the magnets provide smooth, repeatable release, but they are not a mechanical lock. On very rough terrain or during physically demanding activity, a heavy or stiff sling could detach earlier than expected. The system works best with fabric or padded slings of moderate width and weight; with thick leather slings or metal-link slings the magnetic grip may be less reliable. For applications requiring absolute retention even in a fall, a mechanical quick-detach system remains the safer choice.
