With 19 reinforced attachment points, it supports radically different configurations — lean-to, A-frame, hammock, windscreen — adapting to woodland, ridgeline or open ground without changing your kit.

Coated ripstop is the material choice that keeps weight down without giving up waterproofing: taped seams eliminate the micro-perforations left by the needle, a critical weak point on any shelter exposed to sustained rain. The trade-off to be aware of is this: the coating keeps the tarp light and packable, but unlike silnylon or ultralight polyethylene it is not breathable, so condensation on the inner surface needs to be managed through good ventilation in whichever configuration you set up.

The packing system is dual: a drawstring stuff sack for carrying inside the pack, and a zip-closure mesh-bottomed sleeve that attaches externally to the pack via 9 fabric straps. The second option is particularly useful when the tarp is wet — it drains outside without dampening the rest of your gear — and frees up internal volume when the weather is settled. Guylines and pegs are not included.
