Aim-O SRO Open Red Dot — Black

The Aim-O SRO is a compact open-window red dot designed for pistols and short carbines, where target acquisition speed matters more than magnification. The metal body keeps the footprint small without compromising durability, and the two included mounts make it compatible with 22 mm Picatinny rails and Glock-pattern pistol slides straight out of the box.

The open-window design is both the strength and the limitation of this type of red dot: the field of view is wide and unobstructed, which supports natural binocular vision and speeds up dot acquisition, but the exposed window is more vulnerable to rain, dust, and direct impacts than a closed red dot. For dynamic shooting at close range, where engagements happen within a few metres, this trade-off is almost always acceptable — the gain in presentation speed outweighs the reduction in optic protection.

Windage and elevation are adjusted via dedicated screws, so the point of impact can be aligned to the shooter's natural index without relying on metal sight correctors. Power comes from a CR2032 battery — a standard cell available anywhere — housed in the body in a way that allows replacement without removing the optic from the firearm.
