The SMG 8 is an airsoft gas blowback (GBB) replica of a compact submachine gun, manufactured by WE Taiwan with an ABS body, metal internals and metal sights. With the stock retracted it measures 420 mm; fully extended across three positions it reaches 585 mm. It weighs 2160 g and fires 6 mm BBs at approximately 110 m/s, with a muzzle energy of 1.2 J. It is aimed at airsoft players who want to push operational realism to the highest level GBB allows.

The gas blowback system faithfully reproduces the weapon's operating cycle: each shot drives the bolt carrier rearward and returns it forward exactly as on the real firearm. The inner barrel of approximately 200 mm is paired with an adjustable hop-up that lets you compensate the trajectory according to BB weight and shooting conditions.
