The stretch fabric sits close to the face with no gaps that would let cold air in, and the full coverage — from the back of the neck to the forehead, leaving only the eyes exposed — limits heat loss in low-temperature or high-wind conditions. Worn under a helmet or cap, it works as a base thermal layer without adding meaningful bulk, kept in check by the 90 g weight.

The metal mesh half-mask is the product's main trade-off: it provides light mechanical protection against splinters, branches and the impact of small rubber or plastic projectiles, and keeps the face recognisable compared to a full mask.
