VictOptics SOI 4-12x40 VNM-1 MIL Illuminated Reticle Scope — Matte Black

The VictOptics SOI 4-12x40 is a variable-magnification riflescope on the second focal plane, designed for hunting carbines, entry-level precision rifles and platforms used for shooting at medium distances. At 335 mm overall length and 458 g, it balances well on nearly any rimfired or centrefire bolt-action or semi-automatic host.

The 6061-T6 aluminium alloy body is rated to withstand impacts up to 1000 G, a threshold that covers the recoil of the most demanding calibres on both bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles. The internal chamber is nitrogen-purged to prevent internal fogging under humidity and temperature swings, while the waterproof rating is IPX4, adequate to protect the optic from rain and splash during field use. The 100 mm eye relief keeps the eyepiece at a safe distance from the brow line even with hard-recoiling calibres, reducing contact risk during rapid fire.

All lens surfaces receive a fully multi-coated treatment, optimising light transmission and edge-to-edge clarity across a field of view that, at 100 metres, ranges from 8.3 m at minimum magnification to 2.8 m at maximum. The VNM-1 MIL reticle is illuminated in red and green across 5 brightness levels, allowing the shooter to select the right contrast for the background and lighting conditions. Capped turrets work in 1/10 MIL per click increments with a total travel exceeding 14.5 MIL per axis, enough to handle elevation and windage corrections across practical shooting distances.
