Aim-O RDG Multi Reticle Open Red Dot 20x33 mm — TAN

The RDG is an open-tube red dot with a 33 mm window and aluminium body, designed for carbines, semi-automatic rifles and pistols fitted with a 21 mm Picatinny or Weaver rail. The TAN finish blends with desert and coyote-coloured setups and suits shooters who need a 1x sight for close to medium engagement distances.

Four reticle patterns selectable via the rear switch — single dot, circle with dot, crosshair and combinations — can be cycled without tools in a few seconds. Each reticle has 7 brightness levels: the lower settings keep the dot visible indoors without washing out the field of view, while the higher settings hold up in direct sunlight. The choice of reticles is a genuine advantage when the same firearm changes role or user, though it does require memorising your preferred combination to retrieve it quickly under pressure.

The overall length of 80 mm keeps the profile slim and does not interfere with tandem-mounted devices. The 20 mm objective lens carries an anti-reflection coating that reduces lateral flare and improves dot contrast on backlit targets. Power comes from a single CR2032 cell, available everywhere and replaceable without removing the optic from the firearm thanks to an externally accessible battery compartment.
