Helikon-Tex General Purpose Cargo Cordura Pouch — Olive Green

The Helikon-Tex General Purpose Cargo is a multi-purpose Cordura® pouch designed for anyone who needs organised, accessible storage directly on a plate carrier, belt, or pack. It attaches to MOLLE/PALS systems and duty belts via the webbing on the rear panel, and is available in Olive Green.

Inside, the hook-and-loop panel is compatible with the Versatile Insert System (VIS), meaning the internal layout can be changed to suit the contents: medical kit, documents, cleaning kit, or loose gear. The internal elastic loops secure bulkier items and prevent them from shifting during movement, without needing additional inserts. The main closure is a dual-slider zip, allowing the pouch to be opened from either side and giving you a natural draw regardless of how you approach it.

The trade-off worth knowing concerns the closure: a two-way zip provides controlled access and protects the contents better than an open-top design, but takes a fraction of a second longer than an elastic or press-stud system. For a pouch intended for non-immediate-access items — emergency kit, spare batteries, documents — this is the right balance.
